 Lately I've been thinking about the content I offer on this blog. I've talked about this in the recent past and have been struggling to find a groove. Written blog or video? I've decided it just doesn't matter and you'll get what you get. It is what it is. Today you get another video. If theres gonna be any pattern at all it might be that the "over the bench" videos appear on Saturdays and other types of videos fill in on Wednesdays. For now I have content to offer in video format and that will be my first choice when available.

Over The Bench-Pressure/Vacuum Testing Chainsaws

   Its all right there in the title. I show you the procedure I use for testing the "air tightness" of chainsaw crankcases. This is one of those tests that would answer a lot of the mystery questions people have about why their saw runs weird. Fast idle? Big bog? Maybe it won't start at all. If you don't perform this test then you're just guessing.

Husky 326LS Strimmer Carb Replacement

  Love it or hate it I've got another "Over The Bench" video for you. This time we look at a simple carb swap on a trimmer but with a twist.

 I ran into an unusual problem that left me scratching my head for a minute.  I see it clearly now but missed it during the repair. As you watch the video see if you can spot the problem.

  I warned you this might happen and now here you are on a Wednesday trying to decide if you want to watch the video I've posted in lieu of the normal babble you'd find here.

 I'll warn you now, the video isn't action packed but the subject matter is deep. Either you believe or you don't and this video won't change that but it sure does make you think about how incredible the odds are that this could happen. 

 Maybe I'm hyping this up to much. Just watch the damn movie.

Over The Bench-Husky 55 Flywheel

 I guess "Over The Bench" is the official name for these random videos of me fixing crap. A twist here and a crank there along with a few ugga duggas and viola its all fixed. I have a ton of video footage from over my bench. How much is a ton of video you ask? In the couple of weeks I've been filming I have saved 600 gigabytes of footage. I have about half a legal pad of notes to sort those videos and I can see I'll need another storage device in my computer. 

 

 

 Is it worth it? Sure it is because I enjoy doing it. If I was making bank on these videos it wouldn't matter as much if I enjoyed doing it but thats not happening. I've had a lot of positive feedback and a few people even learn some tips from watching them. Besides, can you really put a price on this type of quality entertainment?
